Geohydrology: The study of the properties, circulation and distribution of groundwater, in practise used interchangeably with hydrogeology; but in theory hydrogeology is the study of geology from the perspective of its role and influence in hydrology, while geohydrology is the study of hydrology from the perspective of the influence on geology.
Geo-hydrological setup is the knowledge about the composition of rocks system with its hydrological characteristics. This study was performed using the hydrology tool in geographic information system (GIS) environment. Evaluation of linear, aerial, and relief morphometric parameters was achieved through digital delineation and drainage analysis to provide hydrological insights. The main objective of the study was to assess the integrated multiple hydrological hazards and their environmental and socio-economic risks in Himalaya through geographical information system (GIS) and database management system (DBMS). The Dabka Watershed constitutes a part of the Kosi Basin in the Kumaun Lesser Himalaya has been selected for the case illustration.

Since the study area was interested by significant geo-hydrological events which have caused severe damages, as shown in the previous sections, we initially asked respondents whether they knew that in their territory landslides and/or floods had occurred in the past. 68% are aware of both landslide events and flood events that occurred in the past, 13% are aware only of floods, 9% only of landslides, while 10% of the population was not Hydrogeology (hydro-meaning water, and -geology meaning the study of the Earth) is the area of geology that deals with the distribution and movement of groundwater in the soil and rocks of the Earth's crust (commonly in aquifers). A hydrogeological survey is an investigation of the hydrologic and geologic parameters at the subsurface level in a particular area.
